私も、先日軽い気持ちで　いつものように　Etch ORCA4.4→4.5
アップデートを試みましたが。

エラーの嵐に驚きました。
聞くと、DebianEtch のサポートは　２２年２月に終了したとのこと。
苦労のすえ、以下のページを探し出し

http://www.orca.med.or.jp/receipt/tec/etch/etch_install_jma_mirror.rhtml
指示にしたがい、
 /etc/apt/sources.list
を日医以外のサイトをすべて、コメントアウトし
以下の２行を書き加えることによち、無事アップデートできました。

deb http://mirror.orca.med.or.jp/debian/etch etch main contrib non-free
deb http://mirror.orca.med.or.jp/debian/etch-updates etch/updates main 
contrib non-free
